Over the past few weeks, we’ve been hearing about the LG G5 SE. The “SE” name lead many to speculate that it could be LG’s rival to the new iPhone SE from Apple. However, LG has now confirmed that the G5 SE is simply the less powerful variant of the G5 headed for a select few regions.
As revealed in the past, the G5 SE will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC inside, instead of the Snapdragon 820 SoC powering the regular G5 variant. It will also be a downgrade in the memory department, with the G5 SE featuring “only” 3GB of RAM as opposed to 4GB on the G5.
Apart from the above two key differences, rest of the specifications remain similar to the regular model. The G5 SE will be sold in Latin America, China, and CIS countries.
