As we head closer to the LG G4 official announcement date, more details about the upcoming flagship smartphone are coming in. After an extensive leak detailed the device’s features recently, pricing information has now been revealed thanks to South Korean carriers.
According to a report published by ETNews Korea, the G4 will be priced between the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge. The information does seem to be quite accurate as South Korean carriers SK Telecom and KT have the G4 up for pre-order at $825. That’s a bit higher than the $795 price-tag for the 32GB Samsung Galaxy S6 variant.
An LG official has also confirmed the pricing to South Korea’s Economic Times. He mentioned that the G4 will be priced higher than 32GB Samsung Galaxy S6 but lower than the 32GB Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. He also mentioned that the company believes the G4 is a more premium smartphone than the Galaxy S6 and is comparable to the Galaxy S6 Edge overall.
LG will officially unveil the G4 on April 29th and sales of the smartphone will commence on the same day for South Korean customers. The device will pack a 5.5” Quad HD IPS Quantum display, 16MP rear camera with f1.8 aperture, 3,000mAh capacity battery, and a premium leather back.
