Lenovo launches new Thinkpad workstations with Intel Xeon CPU & 4K display

Lenovo has launched the world’s first mobile workstations powered by the latest mobile Xeon processors from Intel and NVIDIA Quadro professional graphics.

The new Thinkpad P50 comes with the option of a 15.6-inch 4K UHD or a 1080p resolution touchscreen, 6th Gen Intel Xeon E3-1500M CPU, up to 64GB DDR4 2133MHz RAM, NVIDIA Quadro graphics, Thunderbolt 3, and a docking connector.

The Thinkpad P70 is a 17-inch mobile workstation that also comes in 4K UHD and 1080p touchscreen options. Other specs remain similar as well. You get the 6th Gen Intel Xeon E3-1500M family CPU, NVIDIA Quadro Graphics, up to 64GB DDR4 2133MHz RAM, Thunderbolt 3, 8-cell 96WHr battery, and a docking connector.

The Thinkpad P50 and P70 workstations will be available before the end of the year for $1,599 and $1,999 respectively. These are of course base prices, if you opt for all the nice upgrades on offer, you will end up paying a lot higher.
