Lenovo to introduce Bay Trail powered Yoga tablet in October

A Lenovo official took to China’s Weibo microblogging service to announce that work is underway on a new Yoga tablet. It has been claimed by Lenovo that this tablet will be the world’s thinnest.

Chen Xu Dong, Vice President of Lenovo, revealed on Weibo that the Yoga tablet will revolutionize the tablet market. No further details were divulged other than the fact that the tablet will feature Intl’s Bay Trail CPU. Based on the information we know about the Bay Trail variants, the tablet would either feature the high-end quad-core Atom Z3770 series, or the dual-core Z3600 series.

The Yoga tablet is alleged to be the thinnest tablet in the world, and one that features the longest standby time. Chen Xu Dong also claimed that he was able to watch over 8 hours of video footage on the tablet on a single charge, so it will likely feature a massive battery. In terms of design, it is estimated that the tablet will come with two kickstands.

Lenovo will launch the Yoga tablet in October, and at this stage has not indicated whether the tablet will be available globally or in selected countries.
