It looks like OnePlus will have to face some tough competition later this year as ZUK, a new Chinese startup backed by Lenovo and Chinese software company 360, plans to launch its first flagship smartphone the ZUK Z1.
The ZUK Z1 will be powered by Cyanogen OS, similar to the OnePlus One. Of course, OnePlus and Cyanogen have parted ways for now, so the ZUK Z1 could be the new go to phone for Cyanogen OS fans. Unfortunately, no details about the device are available currently, except for the fact that it will offer a large capacity battery and feature an integrated fingerprint scanner.
The Chinese software company 360 has reportedly invested $409 million in the startup so far, so it is definitely quite serious about the startup. With backing from major smartphone maker Lenovo as well, ZUK certainly has the potential to take on OnePlus with its new smartphone later this year.
