Konami releases new gameplay boss battle footage of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

Raiden stylishly slices and dices an enemy RAY Metal Gear in Konami's newly released boss battle footage.

Konami's newest footage for the highly anticipated release of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance shows gamers a nice bit of video that displays an action-infused boss battle between Raiden, the game's protagonist, and a RAY, a formidable and villainous Metal Gear mech.

The footage shows off the game's combat, which is flawless and invigorating, making for an impressive and fluid gameplay experience from start to finish. It also shows off the game's Blade Mode in action which accounts for much of the awesomeness of the game's combat.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance takes place in 2018, four years after the events of MGS4: Guns of the Patriots, and follows the cybernetically-enhanced Raiden as he carries out missions for the PMC (Private Military Company) known as Maverick Enterprises.

A rival PMC, Desperado Enterprises, seeks to destroy Maverick, and Raiden is sent in to ensure that Desperado is shut down.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is slated for release on Feb. 19, 2013 in North America for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. For more information please visit the game's official website.
