Kaspersky announces Internet Security and Anti-Virus 2011 in Singapore

Yesterday, Kaspersky announced the launch of their new Internet Security 2011 (KIS) and Anti-Virus 2011 (KAV) in Singapore. The new software offer new features including System Watcher, Safe Surf and Safe Run, and are compatible with Windows XP to Windows 7 versions.

Jin Lee, Director of Techlane Resources (one of the distributor in Singapore), says that they have done a lot of branding activities recently including TV advertisements, radio, magazines, buses as well as working with Lenovo at bundling the software. According to Lee, more will be done to push the brand.

Jimmy Fong, Channel Sales Director for SEA, Kaspersky Labs Asia, gave the analogy of Singapore being one of the safest cities in the world, thanks to the goverment and the police force.

“The Internet is a place with few laws and restrictions. If you wish to remain safe and secure while enjoying the web, we have to take resposibility for our own security. And that is where Kaspersky has a role to play. We give consumers everything they need to enjoy the best experience on the Internet” says Fong.

Alex Ng, Regional Product Manager for Southeast Asia, Kaspersky, gave a brief introduction of the 2011 products and their new features.
