iTunes 11.1 available now with iTunes Radio, iOS 7 support and more

Apple has now released iTunes 11.1, which was previously only available to developers. The latest version of the software brings iTunes Radio, support for iOS 7 and a couple of new features.

iTunes 11.1 doesn’t really have significant design changes, because its strengths lie somewhere else. The update brings Apple’s much awaited new music streaming service called iTunes Radio. First unveiled back at Worldwide Developers Conference 2013 in June, the service was exclusive to developers for a couple of months. The latest iTunes version now brings the service to millions of users around the world, who can not only listen to more than 250 pre-set radio stations, but can also easily create their own stations from within iTunes itself.

Another new feature in iTunes 11.1 is Genius Shuffle. Apple says that its a “magical new way” to experience your iTunes music library. Whenever the user clicks on the Genius Shuffle button, their music is shuffled up and songs that “go great together” are instantly played. Clicking the button once again will initiate another shuffle, thus allowing users to listen to new music every time. Users can also create custom stations of their favorite podcasts that update automatically whenever a new episode is added.

The iTunes update also brings support for iOS 7 devices, users will now be able to sync photos, movies, music and files to Apple mobile devices running iOS 7 through their computers. iTunes 11.1 is available as a free download from Apple.
