Barely days before Apple’s spring event, an alleged spy shot of the iPhone SE retail packaging has surfaced on Weibo.
Provided the leaked image isn’t fake, it now appears that Apple will indeed market the upcoming 4-inch iPhone as the iPhone SE. The leaked image also confirms that the smartphone will be offered with 16GB of onboard storage, which is likely to be the base storage option for the device. However, we do expect to see at least a 64GB option as well, since the smartphone could be capable of recording 4K videos.
The iPhone SE is rumored to be powered by the Apple A9 chipset and could feature the same 12MP iSight camera at the back that currently does duty on the iPhone 6s. The smartphone will be unveiled on Monday at Apple’s spring event, where the Cupertino firm is also expected to debut a smaller iPad Pro model and new bands for the Apple Watch.
