Yet another report is claiming that the upcoming iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be the first iPhone models to be offered with up to 256GB of flash storage.
Taiwanese publication DigiTimes notes that NAND flash vendors have decided to increase chip prices due to the strong demand for new smartphones, particularly the iPhone 7. Prices are said to keep soaring until the fourth quarter of this year.
However, some previous reports have suggested that only the iPhone 7 Plus could be offered with up to 256GB storage. The smaller iPhone 7 on the other hand, could come with up to 128GB of flash storage, just like the current iPhone 6s. The base storage is now more or less confirmed to be 32GB, a welcome upgrade from the current 16GB.
