Intel Skylake powered Apple MacBooks set to arrive soon


If you’re planning to buy a new MacBook soon, you should probably wait a few weeks until the Skylake MacBooks get launched.

According to a report, Apple will begin shipping the 12-inch Retina MacBook model with the new Skylake Core M3, Core M5, and Core M7 processors in the coming weeks. The base Retina MacBook with the Core M3 6Y30 CPU is expected to be priced at $1299. The Core M3 6Y30 is a dual-core CPU and features a base clock speed of 900Mhz, with a Turbo Boost speed of 2.2GHz.

More expensive options priced at $1599 will include the Core M5 6Y54 and the Core M5 6Y57, clocked at 1.1GHz. Finally, there will be the top-end model that will feature the Core M7 6Y75 clocked at 1.2GHz with a 3.1GHz Turbo Boost clock. This model is expected to be priced at $1999.
