Intel has just announced the availability of their new 8th Generation Core Processors for consumer ultra-thin and 2-in-1 notebooks, designed for the next wave of the PC experience with better multitasking, faster response and more powerful 4K multimedia features.
The new 8th Generation Core i7/i5 Processors are now 40% faster than their 7th generation predecessors and have a dedicated media engine that will let you create, edit and share 4K/360 video content faster and easier, with Intel Quick Sync video enabling near real-time 4K video rendering – letting you create your own 4K videos in minutes.
This also means that it will be easier than ever to enjoy your favorite shows in 4K UHD on your regular laptop, including new content coming soon from Amazon Prime Video and Vudu, as well as everything already available from Netflix, Sony Pictures ULTRA and iQiyi. You can also try out new advancements like Windows Mixed Reality or go even more immersive with Thunderbolt 3 external graphics (up to 4K) for enhanced gaming and VR
The new 8th Generation Core i7/i5 processors will be rolled out in September for 2-in-1 and ultrathin notebooks for consumer and small business products, while more powerful Desktop processors will be available in Q3 2017 for enterprise, workstation and enthusiasts notebook and desktop use.
