Intel has finally ‘officially’ unveiled its new Skylake based NUCs. Although the company hasn’t made a formal announcement about the new models, they can now be found listed on the company’s official website.
The new Intel NUC lineup comprises of two models – the Core i5-6520U based NUC6i5SY and the Core i3-6100U based NUC6i3SY. These two models come in two different form-factors, one with only M.2 storage and the other with a combination of M.2 and a 2.5” bay. The Core i5 based model offers 7.1 surround sound, Intel Iris Graphics 540, and a full-sized HDMI port with 4K resolution support, making it ideal for home theater PCs. Users will be able to control the NUC from the couch or anywhere else in the house thanks to an infrared sensor.
The NUC boards are also available without the chassis, so you can expect to see some third party chassis soon.
