Intel is expected to debut the first Broadwell desktop CPUs early next month, but a few retailers have already begun listing the processors. What’s even more surprising is the fact that the desktop Skylake CPUs have been listed as well, along with the prices.
Although the prices may not be final, they do give us an idea of what to expect. Let’s talk about the two Broadwell chips first. The Intel Core i7-5775C and the i5-5675C CPUs have been listed by NCIXUS for $499 and $379 respectively.
Surprisingly, the Skylake processors have been listed for significantly lower prices than the Broadwell ones. The Intel Core i7-6700 CPU with a 3.4 GHz base clock and 4.0 GHz boost clock has been listed for $388 CAD while the Core i5-6500 CPU with a 3.2 GHz base clock has been priced at $250 CAD.
