Intel Averill Platform In Q3

Intel plans to introduce the Averill platform for business-use desktop PCs in the third quarter of 2006. Intel’s Averill lineup will include the Averill Pro and the Averill Fundamental. The Averill Pro platform includes the dual-core Conroe processor and the Q965 chipset (codenamed Broadwater), whereas the Pentium D processor and Q963 chipset will be featured in the Averill Fundamental series. Both Averill-series platforms will support Microsoft’s Vista operating system.
