As rumored, Intel has unveiled its new “Broadwell-EP” Xeon E5-2600V4 processor lineup.
The Xeon E5-2600 V4 family is manufactured on a 14nm process and boasts of higher core count, increased performance per watt, as well as IPC improvements.
A total of 23 SKUs are part of the new E5-2600 V4 product family. These include the E5-2699 v4. E5-2698 v4. E5-2697A v4, E5-2697 v4, E5-2695 v4, E5-2683 v4, E5-2690 v4, E5-2680 v4, E5-2660 v4, E5-2650 v4, E5-2640 v4, E5-2630 v4, E5-2620 v4, E5-2609 v4, E5-2603 v4, E5-2650L v4, E5-2630L v4, E5-2687W v4, E5-2667 v4, E5-2643 v4, E5-2637 v4, and the E5-2623 v4. The flagship E5-2699 v4 CPU comes with 22 physical cores and 44 threads, clocked at 2.2GHz. The 145W TDP chip includes 55MB of L3 cache and has been priced at $4115 in the US. The cheapest of the lot is the Xeon E5-2603 v4 with six physical cores clocked at 1.7GHz. Priced at $213, this chip includes 10MB of L3 cache and has a TDP rating of 85W.
