‘Infinity Blade III’ released on the App Store prior to iOS 7 launch

Infinity Blade is a popular game series for iOS, its amazing graphics are just one of the reasons behind its popularity. Infinity Blade III, the latest title in this series, has now been released on the App Store.

The new title was first unveiled at Apple’s media event on September 10, it was demoed on the iPhone 5S. Said to have graphical effects such as blur, depth of field and lens flares “that would make J.J. Abrams proud,” Infinity Blade III capitalizes on the new 64-bit A7 processor inside iPhone 5S to deliver stunning graphics. The game has been optimized for both iOS 7 and iPhone 5S, though it is compatible with older devices as well.

The same tap-to-move controls that are used in the first two Infinity Blade titles are present, however there are new side missions, quests and two different playable characters, Siris and Isa. Three new game modes which offer group challenges have been added. It was initially said that the game will be released alongside iPhone 5S on September 20, but it has gone live in the App Store today, merely hours before Apple is due to finally release iOS 7 to the public.

Infinity Blade III is now available for download from iTunes App Store. It costs $6.99 and is compatible with iOS 6 and iOS 7 devices. The title weighs in at 1.47GB.
