IKEA, not Samsung, is the latest company to troll Apple.
For most followers of the tech scene, we’ll know an Apple ad if we see it. The tech company’s influence goes far beyond just consumers, but other brands as well. When Apple launched its campaign ‘the next big,’ Samsung immediately took a stab at the iPhone 5 by launching a campaign of its own saying that the ‘the next big thing is already here.’
Taking a page out of the Samsung trolling manual, the home furnishing goliath IKEA has launched a campaign for its ‘bookbook.’ The IKEA ad mirrors almost every Apple product promo videos in recent years, from the intro all the way to the last second. Apple is set to announce the latest iPhones in a few days, so the timing couldn’t be any better for IKEA to ride the hype. Although we still need to credit IKEA’s marketing department, because the furnishing company’s catalog is apparently more popular than the bible.
