Huawei’s new sub-$100 smartphone packs a 4,000mAh capacity battery

While most of you may still be thinking about the Nubia Z9, ZTE has recently launched a new budget smartphone with a giant 4,000mAh battery.

The new budget ZTE smartphone carries the model number Q519T and actually packs quite impressive specs for its price. It comes with a 5.0-inch IPS HD display, a MediaTek MT6735 quad-core chipset, 1GB RAM, 8G of expandable onboard memory, 5MP rear camera with LED flash, and a 2MP front camera.

It supports dual-SIM functionality like most ZTE smartphones and is also LTE capable. Of course, the main highlight is the giant battery that offers up to 35 days of standby according to ZTE. Since most budget smartphones come with a rather small battery, it is quite encouraging to see ZTE trying to buck the trend with its new device.

For now, the ZTE Q519T is only available in China, and comes in Blue, White, or Gold color options. It has been priced at 599 Yuan in the Chinese market ($97). No info yet on availability outside China but we do expect ZTE to make this device available in a few other markets soon.
