Huawei, as most of you will be aware, is going to unveil its second smartwatch at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona this Sunday. Ahead of the company’s press conference, press renders of the Huawei Watch 2 have been leaked, courtesy of a VentureBeat report.
As rumored earlier this year, the second generation Huawei Watch model features a more sporty design compared to its predecessor, which was all about classy style and elegance. The Huawei Watch 2 includes a nanoSIM card slot as well, allowing it to make calls as well as access cellular data on the move. Like the recently announced LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style smartwatches, the upcoming smartwatch from Huawei will be running on Google’s latest Android Wear 2.0 platform.
One of the renders also shows the three color options that the wearable will be available in – Orange, Black, and Speckled Grey. The apps seen on the wearable’s display clearly hint at more fitness and sports-oriented features this time, with perhaps a wider array of sensors onboard.
Huawei’s Mobile World Congress 2017 event kicks off this Sunday at 2 p.m. local time in Barcelona, Spain. Along with the new Huawei Watch 2, the company will also be announcing the new P10 and P10 Plus flagship smartphones at the event.
