Huawei has sent out invites to a media event on August 16 in San Francisco, California, where it is expected to launch the recently announced Honor 8 smartphone in the US.
The Honor 8 packs a 5.2-inch 1080 x 1920 Full HD IPS display with 424 PPI pixel density and is powered by Huaweu’s Kirin 950 octa-core chipset clocked at 2.3 GHz. It isn’t clear which variant Huawei will be bringing to the US market, but in China the Honor 8 comes with either 32GB of in-built storage and 3GB of RAM or 64GB of built-in storage and 4GB of RAM. The smartphone is quite impressive in the camera department, with a dual 12MP cameras at the back and an 8MP selfie camera on the front.
The smartphone also includes a USB Type-C port, 3000mAh capacity battery, and a circular fingerprint scanner at the back.
