Huawei P9 Lite goes official in Russia following P9 and P9 Plus launch

Huawei launched the P9 and P9 Plus yesterday but didn’t mention the P9 Lite. It has, however, made the device official in Russia. The P9 Lite keeps most of the specs of the P9 but misses out on the dual Leica camera setup and a 4GB RAM option. It’s also less powerful as it uses Huawei’s mid-range Kirin 650 processor instead of the Kirin 950.

The Huawei P9 Lite has a 5.2-inch Full HD display, 2/3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD slot, a 3,000 mAh battery, a fingerprint sensor, and 4G LTE connectivity. The cameras are a 13-megapixel and 8-megapixel pair. Like the P9 and P9 Plus, the P9 Lite runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the Emotion UI 4.1 on top and has a metallic body. The device will be available in silver and gold in Russia sometime in June. Huawei is yet to say anything about a launch in other markets.
