Despite the “Lite” moniker, the P9 Lite features the same 5.2-inch 1080p display as the P9. However, it is powered by the less powerful Kirin 650 octa-core chipset, paired with 3GB of RAM. Onboard storage is on the lower side as well at 16GB, although thankfully expandable further via a microSD card slot.
The camera setup isn’t as impressive either. Instead of the dual camera setup on the P9 and the P9 Plus, the P9 Lite makes do with a single 13MP camera at the back and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. The smartphone also includes a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3000mAh battery, LTE Cat.6 support, and all the other modern connectivity features.
The Huawei P9 Lite will go on sale in Europe next month for €299.
