Huawei MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro shows up in leaked press renders

Huawei MediaPad T2 10.0

The upcoming Huawei MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro has leaked online yet again, this time in press renders.

Leaked press renders of the tablet have been published online by German website Winfuture.de. More images can also been seen on the tablet’s official page on the Huawei website, which suggests the tablet could go on sale very soon.

The tablet comes with a 10.1-inch Full HD display that includes an eye care mode that helps reduce eye strain. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 powers the tablet, paired with 2 or 3GB of RAM, depending on the exact model. In terms of storage, the tablet offers 16GB of base storage, with 32GB being offered with the “Standard edition”.

Even though most users don’t care about the cameras on their tablets, it is nice to see that Huawei has equipped the MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro with an 8MP snapper at the back, complete with an LED flash and an f/2.0 aperture lens. For video calls, the tablet includes a 2MP fixed focus unit on the front.

Battery life is pretty decent too with a 6660mAh high-density battery that is claimed to deliver 700 hours of stamina in standby mode. Connectivity highlights include 4G LTE Connectivity (up to 150Mbps), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS with A-GPS.

While the hardware package impresses, the tablet is a disappointment on the software front as it runs on the outed Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. The tablet is expected to be priced at around 280 Euros in Europe for the base Wi-Fi only model. If you wish to get the LTE-capable model, you’ll need to pay 350 Euros.
