Huawei Mate S gets certified by GCF, likely to debut at IFA next month

Huawei’s upcoming Mate S smartphone was recently certified by GCF. This means the handset could soon be officially announced by Huawei. It had also been certified by TENAA recently.

It is being speculated that the Mate S could be Huawei’s first smartphone to come with Force Touch. The company recently released a teaser for the device where it stressed on “The Power of Touch”.

Most of the device’s specs have been revealed already thanks to the TENAA listing and the earlier leak on Antutu. It will pack a 5.7-inch 1080p display, Huawei Kirin 935 chip, 3GB RAM, 20MP rear camera, and run on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The device will also include fingerprint sensor and feature an all-metal premium build.

Since IFA 2015 is right around the corner, it seems possible that Huawei could choose to officially announce the Mate S at the event next month.
