Huawei Mate S’ Force Touch feature now confirmed

Huawei’s upcoming Mate S phablet has now been listed on the OppoMart website, confirming several of the rumored specs.

One of the main highlights of the upcoming Mate S will be the inclusion of Force Touch technology. Yep, it’s the very same technology that Apple uses on its MacBooks and Apple Watch. Force Touch allows the display to distinguish between light taps and harder presses, in order to provide users with a different response based on the force applied.

The other specs of the phablet are quite impressive too. It will come with a 5.7-inch 1080p display, Kirin 935 chipset, 3GB RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, 20MP rear camera, 8MP selfie camera, fingerprint scanner, and a huge 4,100mAh capacity battery. On the software side, the Mate S runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with Huawei’s Emotion 3.1 UI layer running on top.

OppoMart listing also reveals the price of the phablet – $599. This will of course be the international pricing, expect prices in China to be much lower.
