Huawei Mate 8 variant with a Force Touch display gets certified by TENAA

Huawei Mate 8

A Force Touch display variant of the Huawei Mate 8 flagship phablet has been certified in China by TENAA.

Huawei currently offers the Force Touch feature only on the Mate S, but if this new Mate 8 variant will indeed include the tech, we expect it to be improved over what we have seen on the Mate S. As far as the specs go, the new version of the Mate 8 (eH880) is identical to the regular version that is on sale now.

That means the eH880 will feature a 6-inch 1080p display, Kirin 950 octa-core chipset, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of onboard storage, 16MP rear camera, 8MP selfie camera, and a large 3900mAh capacity battery. However, since the eH880 offers Force Touch, it could be priced slightly higher than the regular Mate 8 if and when it does go on sale.
