Huawei made Nexus 7 (2016) rumored for next year

After building the Google Nexus 6P, Huawei is now rumored to work with Google on the next-gen 7-inch Nexus tablet.

According to a post on China’s Weibo microblogging site, the Google Nexus 7 (2016) project has begun already and that Huawei is the most likely contender to be the manufacturer. If the rumor is accurate, we will finally have a successor to the Nexus 7 (2013) by next year. The first and second-gen Nexus 7 tablets were both manufactured by Asus.

This year, Google did not release any new Nexus tablet. Instead, it introduced the Pixel C Android tablet that has been designed and manufactured by the company itself.

If this rumored Huawei Nexus 7 (2016) tablet does exist, we could see it go official sometime in October next year, alongside the 2016 Nexus smartphones.
