New leaked GPU benchmarks of the new Huawei Kirin 950 SoC have been leaked online, showing massive gains over the previous-gen Kirin chip.
The new Kirin 950 mobile SoC integrates the Mali T-880 GPU, as opposed to the Mali T-628 GPU used on the Kirin 935. As you can see in the slide below, the new Mali T-880 GPU puts up a great show in all the three benchmarks, with scores twice as high as the previous-gen.
CPU performance has been leaked already, defeating pretty much every other mobile SoC released this year in GeekBench. Only its single-core scores are lower than the Apple A9 chipset. In the multi-core test, it leaves all other chipsets behind, including Samsung’s Exynos 7420 used on the flagship Galaxy smartphones.
More benchmarks should surface online once Huawei makes the Mate 8 phablet official soon.
