Huawei Honor range tipped to launch in the US next year

Huawei is all set to bring its Honor brand to the US next year, with an announcement likely to be made at CES 2016.

George Zhao, President of Honor Global revealed in a group interview during Honor’s 2-year anniversary celebrations in China that the company has been planning for the US launch since quite a long time now and expects to share more details regarding their plans at the International CES consumer exhibition in January next year. The move is definitely not surprising as the Nexus 6P has helped Huawei gain recognition in the US and it is only natural that the company wants to leverage its partnership with Google to expand its footprint in the US smartphone market.

Among the first devices to make it stateside is expected to be the recently unveiled Honor 5X mid-range smartphone. Honor will be holding an event at CES 2016 in Last Vegas on Tuesday, January 5th 2016 at 8PM local time.
