Huawei today sent out invites for a media event on April 6, where it could officially announce its next flagship smartphone.
The date was earlier revealed by smartphone leakster Evan Blass in a tweet published a few days back. The leakster has been spot on with various leaks over the last several weeks, so it is no surprise that the managed to guess the date right this time as well.
The Huawei P9 is expected to feature a 5.2” 1080p resolution display and could be powered by the company’s in-house developed Kirin 950 octa-core SoC that made its debut with the Mate 8 last year. One of the main highlights of the smartphone is expected to be a dual-camera setup at the back. Along with the P9, rumors also suggest Huawei could debut three other variants of the smartphone.
