So far, the upcoming HTC One A9 was believed to be a flagship grade device with a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 SoC, 4GB RAM, and an impressive camera. However, trusted leakster @evleaks now claims the device will be more of a mid-range device.
@evleaks recently tweeted the full alleged specifications of the HTC One A9 and they seem to suggest that the device will be targeted at the upper mid-range segment rather than taking on flagship smartphones from rivals.
According to the specs posted by @evleaks, the One A9 will be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 SoC and not the Helio X20 SoC as leaked earlier. It is said to sport a 5.0-inch 1080p AMOLED display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13MP rear camera with OIS, 4MP UltraPixel selfie camera, 2150mAh capacity battery, microSD card slot, fingerprint scanner, and a metal build with a 7mm thin profile. The smartphone could be offered in 6 different color options and could be launched by November.
