Yesterday, HTC released a teaser that hinted at a new product launch on the 20th of this month. The product being teased by HTC could be the “Desire 650 dual sim”, as leakster and ROM developer @LlabTooFeR has revealed in a tweet that the Taiwanese company is soon going to release a new ODM device powered by a MediaTek chipset under the hood.
Now, some of you may be a little confused here, as HTC already sells a smartphone named the Desire 650. However, the Dual SIM variant is reportedly very different from the single SIM Desire 650 that was launched in November last year. The Dual SIM Desire 650 will be manufactured by another company for HTC, and the software too will be developed by the third party manufacturer. That means that we can possibly look forward to several unique features that aren’t part of the Sense UI on other HTC-made smartphones.

Since nothing has been confirmed yet by HTC, we cannot be completely sure that it will indeed be the Desire 650 dual SIM that will be announced at the company’s event next week. It could possibly announce the One X10 as well, which has been in the rumor mills for several weeks now. The One X10 is expected to be powered by a MediaTek SoC under the hood and feature a 5.5-inch sized display.
