HTC could soon start using its Desire brand for tablets as well. The first Desire branded tablet could be the T7, which visited the GFXBench recently.
According to the info listed on GFXBench, the tablet will feature a 6.9-inch display with 720 x 1280 HD resolution. Under the hood, the Desite T7 will be powered by the Spreadtrum SC8830 quad-core chipset, clocked at 1.3 GHz, with the Mali-400 MP2 GPU. Coming to memory, the tablet could feature 1GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage, although it is possible that other variants could offer higher onboard storage. The front and rear-facing cameras will feature 5MP resolution, not surprising considering the rest of the hardware on offer.
The tablet was also spotted on Indian import and export portal Zauba recently, with a declared unit price of Rs. 11476 or $170. It is likely that the Desire T7 tablet will be released in emerging markets only, given its lower mid-range specs and pricing.
