HTC Desire 200 goes official, 3.5-inch HVGA display and Beats Audio in a cute shell

A few days after the leaked images of the entry-level HTC Desire 200 hits the web, the company goes official with their latest Android Smartphone, and it’s a cute one.

HTC’s latest Android offering is not a 5.0-inch phablet or a 4.3-inch One Mini, but an entry-level 3.5-inch Smartphone dubbed the HTC Desire 200. How cute HTC.

The Desire 200 is strictly an entry-level Smartphone. If the name doesn’t indicate that, the 3.5-inch HVGA display and 1 GHz Snapdragon S1 SoC screams of it. Oh, the camera is a fixed focus unit. Long time since we’ve seen one of those around.

HTC Desire 200 Specifications:

The Desire 200 runs an unknown version of Android, however the leaked images from a few days ago showed the handset to be running on the aged Android 4.0 ICS operating system. Although the battery is small, it’s enough to power this tiny handset through 7 hours 30 minutes of 3G talk time and 812 hours of standby (of course, real world standby is often far lesser than the rated numbers).

Pricing and availability are not known as of yet.
