HTC is teasing the launch of what it calls a “superior Christmas gift.”
HTC is gearing up to launch a new smartphone on December 24, a day before Christmas. The company is teasing what it calls a “superior Christmas gift” on its Weibo account; the One X9 is likely to be the phone that is announced, given the large X in the teaser image.
The One X9 was certified by China’s TENAA last month, and official renders of the device leaked online last week, so an official announcement before the end of the year would be unsurprising. The One X9 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display, an octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD slot, 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel cameras, a 3,000 mAh battery, 4G LTE connectivity, and Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The One X9 will also have stereo BoomSound speakers at the front, which HTC didn’t use on the iPhone-inspired One A9. With its specs, the One X9 is far from the “superior” Christmas gift that consumers will gobble up, so we will have to wait and see if it is indeed the phone HTC unveils on Christmas gift.
