HTC has been trying to show off the HTC 10 as the perfect handset with numerous teases leading up to today’s official launch, but manufacturer claims can never be taken to heart until a device actually lives up to them. According to someone who tested the HTC 10, it looks like the Taiwanese company has indeed delivered an impressive flagship smartphone with all the qualities HTC has been talking up.
The software is said to be the “fastest and smoothest” (and very close to stock Android), and the speakers are apparently so good that they bring out sounds in songs the tester has “never heard before.” As the leaks had suggested, there are two loudspeakers on the device – one at the front and another at the bottom. It’s a considerable departure from dual front firing speakers found on previous HTC flagships, but it has likely helped the company keeps the bezels down at the front.
Battery life also gets a mention as being the best for any smartphone this particular tester has used. The camera is said to be better than the Huawei P9 but there’s no mention of whether the camera is as “world class” as HTC has teased it will be. All in all, the HTC 10 is shaping up to be a very interesting flagship smartphone, one that could give HTC the attention it sorely lacked last year because of the disappointing One M9.
