HTC has been releasing exclusive color variants of its flagships for various markets in recent years, and with the HTC 10 the company isn’t changing the trend. For its latest flagship, HTC will be launching a red version for the Japanese market. The red paint job is rather intense and covers the entire handset, including the edge of the camera module at the back.
Pictures of the red version have been leaked by Taiwanese website ePrice. Called Camellia Red, the red HTC 10 will be sold by Japanese carrier KDDI. There is no word on whether this version will be launched on other carriers or in other regions, but if history is any guide, it’s likely to remain rather elusive for most consumers around the world. As for the specs, those will be unchanged, although it remains to be seen if the red 10 will be the actual flagship or the watered down HTC 10 Lifestyle.
