Honor, a subsidiary e-brand of China-based mobile giant Huawei, has announced the launch of the Honor 8C – latest in line of the brand’s C-series line-up.
The Honor 8C (SGD 208) will be available from 23rd March onwards on online platforms like Qoo10, Lazada, Shopee and other retailers. Customers who purchase the device online will receive a free 32GB microSD card (worth S$15) free of charge.
Despite its low price, the Honor 8C now comes with a notched 6.26-inch 19:9 FullView Display with an impressive 86.6% screen-to-body ratio for greater immersion.
It is equipped with a very huge 4,000mAh battery that enables up to two days of use on a single charge – perfect for gaming and entertainment.
The dual rear cameras are a AI-enabled affair with a 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel rear camera with wide f1.8 aperture for better light-capturing capabilities. It is able to recognise up to 500 scenarios in up to 22 categories in real-time.
On the front, an 8-megapixel selfie camera is paired with a soft flash to flatter skin tones. It is also able to create animated emoji through augmented reality.
Design is at the forefront of the Honor 8C. Available in blue, the phone features a new “cat’s eye” effect that scintilates at different viewing angles. At 7.98mm, the Honor 8C also features a curved body for a comfortable grip.
Within, the device is powered by a high-performance octa-core Snapdragon 632 chipset, with EMUI 8.2 for a seamless, quick user interface. With 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage expandable with support of up to 256GB, the 8C has three independent card slots that enable you to use dual SIM cards with an SD card concurrently.
