Great Shopee Sale Kick-started; New In-App Live Streaming, Quiz Features

Shopper today unveilled a range of new features on its mobile app. This includes the region’s first in-app seller livestreaming feature, Shopee Live and the reinplementation of their in-app trivia gameshow, Shopee Quiz.

Designed to bring engaging, interactive live content to its shopping experience, Shopee’s new features revolutionises the in-app experience of both buyers and sellers.

Shopee Live capitalises on an increasing trend of mobile video consumption amongst Singaporeans – up to 89% in 2019 from 56% in 2017. Sellers of all sizes would be able to capture an audience at the touch of a button, enabling potential buyers to learn more about the featured  products and purchase seamlessly within the live-stream.

Shopee Live enables sellers to showcase their products and increase user engagement.

Through these livestreaming sessions, both sellers and buyers will be able to address questions easily and increase engagement, with sellers and brands participating in Shopee Live seeing sales increases of up to 75%.

The Shopee Quiz, which was met with great aplomb last year, makes a return. Hosted by local influencers, the nation-wide trivia competition allowed users to participate in an exciting, engaging live game show with great rewards like Shopee Coins and products to be won.

The month-long Great Shopee Sale, which runs between 6th June and 7th July, will feature 1,000 participating brands and $100 vouchers to be won.

During the sale, users can tune in to Shopee Entertainment Hour on 6th June between 9-10PM to win exclusive vouchers from live streaming sessions conducted from sellers and brands.

Shopee Squad Challenge encourages users to team up with up to eight friends to earn points from purchases and referals. This year, the prizes include a 3d2n Bintan Resort Getaway package, and a 2D1N Batam Hotel Staycation, amongst others.

Buyers can also look forward to bi-hourly promotions with up to 90% off top products, along with 6 flash vouchers that give winners $100 vouchers valid for 2 hours released at 12AM, 8AM, 12PM, 6PM, 8PM and 10PM daily.

60 Brand Boxes will also be up for grabs, with boxes from brands like JBL, Grab, and Triumph going at $29 and $69. Spending $1 will also give buyers a chance to win a pair of air tickets to any destination, capped at $2,000.

Users will also enjoy unbeatable deals on over 600 products that will go for $0.66 only.
