This is the recently released concept artwork for the Lenovo Daydream Standalone VR headset, a collaboration between PC maker Lenovo and Google. Of note is the term ‘standalone’ – details are scarce but Lenovo have said that all you need to do is pick up this headset and play – its a complete VR system without the need to wire to a PC or smartphone. The headset has its own sensors to detect your movement, and more importantly has Google WorldSense to give you a more ‘realistic’ sensation of motion and velocity. Expect the first Daydream headsets from Lenovo and Vive to be available by the end of this year!
