The US FCC recently certified a mysterious new Google device named the ‘GG1’. It is believed that the ‘GG1’ is a next-gen Google Glass model that could perhaps be targeted at the enterprise segment.
We do not know much about the ‘GG1’ expect that it is not a smartphone or a tablet. However, it does come equipped with 802.11a/b/g/n/ac dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE connectivity. There is also an in-built rechargeable battery.
But according to a 9To5Google report, the GG1 is more likely the ‘Google Glass Enterprise Edition’ that is currently being tested by Google. This does make a lot of sense since Google has seen some great success in the enterprise market in the past.
More info on the ‘GG1’ is expected to become available by the end of the year as internal and external images of the device will be available to the public on December 28th 2015.
