Google releases Android TV remote app for iOS

Two years after launching the Android TV remote app for Android devices, Google is bringing the app to iOS. It’s not often that Google takes so long to bring its services to Apple’s mobile platform, but iOS users with Android TVs should now be able to control their TVs with their iPhone or iPad.

The Android TV app can also be used to control Google-powered set-top boxes, and connects to these devices via Bluetooth. It offers functions like keyboard input, voice input for search, ability to use an iPhone as a controller for Android TV games, and as a regular mouse-like navigation input. The Android TV remote app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store.
