Google Play Store updated with tweaked UI, new syncing options

On the eve of Google I/O 2013 the software giant saw it fit to push a minor update to their Play Store app which bumps it up to version 4.1.6.

Google has released an update for their Play Store update on the morning preceding their annual developers conference; how about that! This new update brings slight tweaks to the (already massively updated Google Now cards themed) UI. It seems that the new version (4.1.6) of Play Store is more about superficial updates than adding major functionality (Play Games?).

Reports indicate the following new changes:

  • Improved spacing between "Open" and "Uninstall" buttons on application pages
  • Updated "Wish list" page layout, now displaying apps in rows of three

Google Play Services gets an update with two interesting new features as well such as an option to sync "App Data" as well as "People Details". Of the two, "App Data" syncing is pretty self explanatory. Reports suggest that "People Details" could be related to Google+, or perhaps the company's upcoming "Play Games" platform. Whatever it is, we surely will find out in the next couple of hours.
