Google launches Spaces, claims it makes group sharing better

Google developers have created another social app targeting “group” sharing. Dubbed “Spaces,” the tool is integrated into Google Search, YouTube and Chrome. According to Google’s official blog, the tool will cut down the time it takes to share a particular video, picture or article.

By creating a group simply off the subject/topic that’s being shared, Google claims that the topic of discussion will be kept on point.

We’re still a bit skeptical as to how effective Spaces will be at social sharing, considering how well Google has fared in the social space. Still, it’s worth a try, and the app is available today if you update your desktop, Android, or iOS apps.

The big G will be testing out the app at Google I/O by creating a space for each session.
