Google Introduces Priority Inbox To Relieve Email Overload

Google Priority Inbox

If you’re one of those users who get a lot of emails from friends or colleagues in your Google Gmail, you may find it easier to go through them with the new Priority Inbox. The Priority Inbox helps you focus on messages that are of more importance without the need to set complex rules.

Google has recently introduced a new feature in Gmail, called Priority Inbox (beta) that aims to help email users concentrate on the more important emails. That’s also because not all the junk or spam emails get filtered and there will still be emails that aren’t really important that will land in the inbox.

The Priority Inbox splits your inbox into three sections, “Important and unread”, “Starred” and “Everything else”. And when emails come in, Google will predict and determine which ones are important (usually the ones you reply). Through correctly marking the conversations, this helps to make it learn how to categorize properly.

This Priority Inbox will be rolled out to all Gmail users, so watch out for the “New! Priority Inbox” link at the top right corner of your Gmail account.
