Chinese phone maker Gionee has grand plans to penetrate the market. One of them happens to be a quad-core, 1080p display bearing Smartphone. Dubbed the Gionee ELIFE E6, the Smartphone will be launched simultaneously in multiple developing markets across the globe.

Micromax may be the No. 1 indigenous Smartphone maker in India, but the company has got a tough road ahead with the onslaught of incoming competition in the form of budget priced, high-end Chinese handsets. One of the more established companies amongst them is Gionee. Taking advantage of the alleged Blue Life One rebrand (dubbed the Canvas 4) fiasco that Micromax is currently headed towards, Gionee has timed the big reveal of their next flagship Smartphone perfectly.

Gionee ELIFE E6 specifications:

– MediaTek MT6589T Chipset
– 1.5 GHz Quad-Core ARM Cortex A7 CPU
– PowerVR SGX544 GPU
– 2 GB RAM
– 5.0-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) Retina Display
– 13 MP Rear BSI Camera, LED Flash, 1080p Video @ 30fps

As you can see for yourself, the specifications of the Gionee ELIFE E6 are top-notch. With an expected price between Rs. 18,000 ($320) to Rs. 20,000 ($360), the E6 represents excellent value for the price it is commanding. Add to that, Gionee is perhaps one of the few Chinese companies which have proper customer support and a functioning service center, we actually believe that the E6 can steal the crowd’s attention. Of course, Gionee’s latest will be going up against the likes of the UMI X2, Iocean X7, Karbonn Titanium S6, Zopo ZP980 and other similarly spec’ed phones when it finally hits the market.
