GIGABYTE today added a new premium motherboard to its Gaming series, the GA-Z170X-Gaming 6.
Part of the G1 Gaming series, the ATX motherboard is targeted at enthusiast gamers looking to build a new Skylake gaming PC with overclocking in mind. The board supports the latest 6th Gen Intel Core processors, dual-channel DDR4 memory, USB 3.1 with USB Type-C, 3-way graphics with Exclusive Ultra Durable Metal Shielding over the PCIe slots, and PCIe Gen3 x4 M.2 connectors.
Expansion slots on offer with the board include three PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots and four PCIe gen 3.0 x1 slots. For connecting storage devices, the board offers three 16Gb/s SATA-Express ports, two 32Gb/s M.2 slots, and six SATA 6GB/s ports. USB connectors include two USB 3.1, eight USB 3.0, and multiple USB 2.0/1.1 ports. Other noteworthy specs include Killer E2201 and Intel Ethernet ports, 8-channel AMP-UP 115dB SNR onboard audio with electrolytic capacitors and ground-layer isolation, and UEFI DualBIOS technology.
