Get a free copy of Metro 2033 for liking their Facebook page

To promote their upcoming title, the makers of Metro 2033 are offering the game for free to anyone who likes the Facebook page. What're you waiting for? Go get it!

It's not often you get a real reward for liking a page on Facebook. From today until December 16th, you can – you can get a free copy of the spectacular game, Metro 2033, for liking their page on Facebook.

Bribery? Probably. Do we care? Not at all.

You may ask, “Why? Why free, why now?” The game has already been featured as a part of the Humble Bundle by THQ, where you could offer whatever you wanted for the game… and get at least five other games along with it. That meant you could have paid pennies for an awesome game. Thought you got a good deal? You did – now there's one out that's better.

Besides that, the company that released Metro 2033, 4A Games, is almost ready to release the sequel – Metro: Last Light. With that game due out early 2013, the studio is most likely looking for as much publicity as possible. What better way than to be those cool guys that give out their game for free?

If you've never played the game, you're missing out. It might have passed under the radar due to its Ukrainian origins, but this game packs a punch. Based on the novel of the same name, you play Artyom in this post-apocalyptic version of Moscow. Funny enough, you reside mostly in the metro. Go figure. A FPS with a pinch of steal and a heaping cup of horror, this beautiful game has captured many a heart.

Now, what are you waiting for? If you don't have a copy yet, go and grab it! You can get to their Facebook page here. Once you agree to all the mumbo-jumbo, you'll either be allowed to download the game independently or given a code for a Steam version. Bon voyage!
