Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ compared side by side with the Galaxy Note 7

In yet another leak claiming to show the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, images posted on Weibo show the two handsets side by side with the Galaxy Note 7 and the Galaxy S7 edge. It’s unclear if these are real images or a good attempt at Photoshop, but should there be any glimmer of truth behind what is shown, it would appear that Samsung has a winner on its hands as far as fitting a giant screen in a small form factor is concerned.

The 5.8-inch Galaxy S8 (the screen sizes are not fully confirmed yet) looks positively tiny compared to the Galaxy Note 7 despite the latter having a 5.7-inch display. The Galaxy S8+ is larger thanks to its rumored 6.2-inch display but is still impressively compact for the screen size. The devices are also compared with the Galaxy S7 edge, revealing how the regular Galaxy S8 is pretty much the same size as the S7 edge, which had a 5.5-inch display. This image does, however, look fake, so there is a possibility the one with the Note 7 is not 100 percent real, either.

Again, these images are a good sign of the major step that Samsung is taking to change what its phones look like, something the company had hinted at during its official Galaxy S8 teaser at MWC. How much of the leaked information is real is something that remains to be seen, although we won’t have to wait too long for confirmation.
